Welded handrails & railings · Helena, MT
Commercial handrails, ADA-compliant guardrails, decorative residential rails, and structural steel — welded from raw stock in our Helena, Montana shop and installed across Lewis & Clark County. One shop, one welder, one point of contact from quote to install.
What we build
No catalog parts. No drop-shipped components. Every rail is cut, bent, welded, and finished in our Helena shop — then installed by the same hands. That means tighter tolerances, faster turnaround, and one accountable party for the whole job.
ADA-compliant handrails, IBC-compliant guardrails, and pipe rail systems for offices, multi-family, retail, and public buildings. We handle the engineering coordination, fabrication, and install.
Apartment buildings, hotels, and multi-story builds. Repeatable units fabricated in batches, delivered on schedule, installed clean.
Interior stair and landing rails for new construction and remodels — modern flat bar, traditional pickets, mixed wood-and-steel, and one-off designs.
Front steps, decks, porches, and balconies. Built for Montana winters: powder coated for UV and moisture resistance, welded continuous where it counts.
Stainless cable infill with custom steel posts and top rails. Clean sightlines for decks, lofts, and contemporary builds.
Wrought-iron style scrollwork, mixed-material rails, wildlife motifs, and one-of-a-kind commissions. If you can sketch it, we can build it.
How it works
Same process whether it's a single porch rail or a four-story commercial build. The scale changes; the steps don't.
For commercial work, send us the plans and we'll spec from there. For residential and remodels, we come out, measure, and walk the project with you.
You get a written quote with fabrication, finish, and install line-itemed. What we quote is what you pay — no surprise change orders unless the scope itself changes.
Cut, bent, welded, and finished in Helena. We powder coat in-house, so your finish is dialed in before anything leaves the shop. Commercial projects get batched and staged to match your construction schedule.
We install what we build. No subcontracted install, no handoff. We hit the schedule we committed to, clean up after ourselves, and walk the finished work with you before invoicing.
Built for where you build
Every rail we ship out of the shop is built for the Montana climate. UV-rated powder coat finishes that don't chalk or fade. Continuous welds at structural joints, not stitched and called good. Hot-dip galvanizing available for exterior commercial work that needs it.
We work primarily across Helena, East Helena, Lewis & Clark County, and Townsend, with regular commercial work in Bozeman, Great Falls, and the surrounding region. If you're building it in west-central Montana, we can get there.
Common questions
Every railing is quoted individually because scope drives price — linear footage, design complexity, finish, and install access all factor in. Send us your plans or schedule a site visit and we'll send a firm quote, usually within a few days.
Both. All the welding and fabrication happens in-house, and we handle the install ourselves. You're not coordinating between a fab shop and a separate installer — one point of contact, one schedule, one warranty.
Yes. We regularly fabricate to IBC guardrail load requirements, ADA grip and projection specs, and local Helena permit requirements. Send us the plan set and we'll spec accordingly.
Residential projects typically run two to four weeks from quote to install. Commercial timelines depend on scope and how the work phases with the rest of construction — for batched multi-family or commercial work, we plan around your schedule from the start.
Yes. Whether it's matching a wrought-iron rail on an older Helena home, tying new code-compliant rail into an existing commercial stair, or working off an architect's detail, send us photos or plans and we'll work from there.
That's a lot of what we do. Multi-family, hotel, office, and retail builds with repeating rail units are a regular part of the shop's work. We'll batch, finish, and stage delivery to match your construction schedule.
